Diamond's Opal! |

Opal and her full sister Jewel, came to us the spring of 2005. They had not been handled much when they arrived and we were thrilled with how quickly they trusted us. Opal is the older of the two, foaled in 2000. She shows the maturity of her age. No spook, steady, willing and bold.  Here she is after a couple of weeks under saddle. Anna was so confident with both girls she was riding them outside after only a couple of rides! True Curlies!  She's on the right in this picture. She is just a tad taller than her sis.  And heading back from the road. Opal is one substantial mare. Solid of bone, square, excellent base, strong quarters, taller than the average Curly (almost 15hh!) and quiet. Like her sister, the first time we saddled her we mounted her!  Both these girls are excellent choices for trail horses or family horses. Super ground manners and respectful.  Opal is Full ABC registered, ABC2777, out of Ethel's Diamond by Sundance Kid. She stick measured at 14.3hh. |
