What an honor and great surprise for us November 16th. CFCW and Alberta Farm Gateway
held the annual Farm Classics Awards at the Nisku Inn. We were nominated, in September, for the Alternative
Farm Business of the Year for all of Western Canada, and we won!
We were recognized for our attention to detail and perfection in our educational programs and improvements to the North American Curly Horse breed. Special notation was given to our efforts in promoting the curly breed and our programs for matching horses with riders. Our follow up after the sale in training the horse and rider to be a team was also brought to light. Also noted were our summer riding camps, trail rides and weekly riding lessons. We were privileged to receive media exposure both on the radio and in many of the Western newspapers. We received phone calls from all over the province congratulating us on this prestigious recognition of our accomplishments. It is very satisfying to be recognized for all the long hours and hard work we have put into making Sunnybrook Stables a success. The banquet was an excellent gala put on by the sponsors and we appreciate all their efforts. Special thanks to Allfreight Transport in Nisku for sponsoring this division and the beautiful sign we received to display our recognition. This sign is huge and very professionally done. It will, of course, be on display at the entrance to the stables this spring. |
